The Wiccaning is a rite of passage in which a child is presented to the God and Goddess. They are given a name to be known in circle until they are old enough to pick their own name. Also a Godfather and Goddessmother may be present. The Wiccaning may be part of another ritual or a ritual on it own. In many cases it can be a new born child or an older child when his or her parents become part of the Craft. Dragon Palm has done Wiccanings for both members of their Inner and Outer Circles as well for members of other covens and groups.
